Chief, it does look worthy of some prospecting. I haven't checked that particular creek out. I have prospected other smaller creeks like that one and not found much. The only decent gold i've found is in the little pigeon river and little river. I've always heard finding gold in the smaller creeks can be tricky.

Did you ever decide to do any more digging this season?

I have not dug anymore.,most are down here,may try and get out again but it looks like 90 degrees most of this week.just brutal

Don't blame you a bit chief. I guess i've been about 5 times all season where in the past I usually make about a dozen or more hunts in September. I'll be lucky to end up with half of what I dug last year. I may try to get a few more in next week. I'm going out of town week after next, and i'd say they'll definitely be gone by then. I tell you, not only has the heat been bad, but also the air has been so thick it's hard to breathe out there. We've had several air quality alerts out as well. Just been a hell of a September.
