I was also going to tell you my cousin found a monster 4 prong it had seven leaves on each prong, and about half way down the stem it looked like there was two more prongs trying to grow they had little leaves 3 on each side.

This is the stage before the plant evolves to a 5 or 6 prong! It takes many, many years without setbacks for a seng plant to achieve 7 leaves on each of the 4 prongs. It is possible that the old 4 prong was a 5, 6, 7 or 8 prong at one time then got setback by timbering, mining or a wildfire and spent a very long time in dormancy. It would be nice to know how many growth rings your cousin can count of the root!

Really, really nice root!

You know, to most folks the root probably looks like something from a Tim Burton movie but to us sengers, it is a beauty to behold!:)
