Hello Folks
If Tony started digging here in TN on or after 8-15 he is not a pocher.
About the berries. I found 1# & 14 oz. today that was irregular as far as the berries go. Most of the berries had fallen out with a few having a few red berries left. Some I dug had just a stem with just traces of dried leaves ,
This was in Jackson Co. all on the same hill. I found some in Smith Co. Wed. , about 15 miles from where I hunted today that had mostly green berries.
When they started the season here on Aug. 15 I ask why have a season if your going to have it while the berries are still green?
They said big green berries will come up.
I will know forsure in a couple days but the dealer i have delt with in Ky for all my seng deals in life told me it would open here in Kentucky between 270 and 300 per pound alot better than last seasons open, that price is at a 30 dollor varyence so I will post the exact opening price in a few days here in Ky.
