TOPIC: Ginseng Season Open In Kentucky 2010

guys sorry it is taking awhile on getting the pics up i know everyone is itching to see those five prongs, but here in the last couple of days terry's mamaw has took a turn for the worse. so we have taken off the last few days of senging. They don't look for her to make it through the week. So guys any prayers would greatly be appreciated, and as soon as we can we will get back out there and we will put the pics on. Hope everyone good luck this week

hillbilly I sure will mention this to the good Lord for Terry and his family.

Guys we had a very good day today,,,for starters I didnt even know I would get to go seng today,,but as it worked out we got to go a few hours and we went into one of the new hollers that I had mentioned going to to check out this year.It was a good holler alot of seng and sevral realy good 4`s and 3`s we dug rite at 35 ounces today.

One of my seng digging buddys Lee Hensley.This root that he found today was a large 3 prong and just nice and big weighed nearly 3 1/2 ounces.The root had like 3 different places that a top could come out from.

My roots alot of these are old roots and some weigh close to 2 ounces a great day.

Well back to the grinding stone tomorrow for the week.I was very thankful for all that the good Lord blessed us with this weekend and I got to spend more time in the woods than I thought I would thats always a + :o)

i only got to go for about 4 hours today,bummer didnt get to go yesterday,but i got 21 bunches in all,about 7 ounces,about 15 of them were 4 prongs that was a blessing,still had a few berries on them even found some still just turning,cant wait to get back in there and find some more,even thought about taking a day off work,good hunting
