I have noticed the wet to dry ratio isnt always the same,
as you mentioned.I wonder if it can have someting to do with the kind soil its growing in and also seems to dry heavier later in the season.Just some thoughts,what do you think?

Glad you met your goal of 10+ pounds, I am well over what I usually get so I am very happy with this season.I think I am done digging this year,but I thought that 3 or 4 hunts ago. Its hard to quit til its so far gone you cant find it anymore.

Lenno I think that it has something to do with soil,the time,and the overall size.

I have new root in my collection. It's been quite a conversation piece. Ginseng bug has hit hard this year

VERY excited about getting in the woods this weekend. Looks like it'll be on Sunday.

Guys Caleb went on his last hunt for this season and with what he dug today he ends out with around 3 pounds of ginseng to sell for what he calls his Christmas Money Not bad at all for a guy that just gets to go on Saturdays

Nicen 60 o/o is yellow now the rest are mixed lime colored and green,not very long left at all.

A nice natural Cave that me and Caleb found about 2 miles from the closet black top road.
