Hey Billy,
Can you share with us what you look for in a place where the seng is likely to stay up/green/live longer - later in the year ?
Back on Oct 4/5 - my last two hunts the seng here near my home and in another area nearby that I hunted was all but gone. Basically found nothing but yellow ones and many were brown and down and even found some roots that had no top left (while digging others).
Then Oct 10 or so while fishing I looked in 3 different areas on a nice bluff and it had lots of maidenhair fern and other companion plants but I could not find one sprig of seng left. It was on a bulff that faced due north and down at low elevation (around 650'), which I would think would be as likely as any location to have seng still holding on later in the year.
Is there something specific you look for or have noticed when finding places where it hangs on longer ?
PS - glad you are still finding some and some very NICE ones at that .
Thanks
