Has anyone heard of any prices for dry ginseng this season?

I don't think anyone knows right now. It would be pure speculation!
I guess we will know something on green prices tomorrow but right now I'm waiting to hear from my buyer.
The green market seems to be getting better than the dry each year, price wise.
Kentucky certified over 3 ton of green seng last season!

Too early to tell, what with the international problems....

In Ky. green prices are about $8 an ounce green or $130 for a lb.
Don't know what dry prices will be. Have heard maybe $350 to $400( Maybe?)

Dry is looking to be about $200 off from last year's high at this point. There is a lot of carry over sang in China and it will likely be another high dig year again this season.

You can see the trend in the increase of the pounds of wild ginseng being dug and certified (these numbers are from the Department of Interior Fish & Wildlife Services):

2014 - 89,926.70 lbs
2013 - 72,800.83 lbs
2012 - 53,439.34 lbs

I'll have some prices for fresh sang in the next day or two.

$ 150 to 170 per lb . Dry opens at $ 400 to 450 per lb . Good luck to all this season.

Green prices aren't climbing but has actually dropped a couple of dollars on the ounce in southeastern Ky.
