TOPIC: western nc prices

$500 this weekend. Ginseng s getting harder and harder to find here in western NC and many buyers are becoming more and more selective. If it were me I would not sell for under $600 and I would not let any buyer hand select anything. As hard as it is to find they will buy everything or nothing. Not to mention the new North carolina laws. If caught and convicted expect to pay upwards of $2000! It takes alot of bloody, posion oak covered hands to produce 2k!

Hope it doesn't start backing down. Was $500 two weeks ago at one place and dropped to $490 last week? Didn't sound right to me.

When I called Carolina Bait @ 2 on Friday the Lady that answered the phone said $490. Didn't actually speak with Wayne though.

Thats for straight mixed sang. I have never graded and got top dollar for my roots. I don't dig immature or break the root all to pieces though. If a buyer starts picking and digging through my lot I will pack it up and sell else where. Never had that issue though.
