That's awesome 500 already. I hope it keeps climbing. I hadn't got to dig this week, plannin on an all dayer Saturday, hope its not wilted away.

Today's price at Ridge Runner Trading in Boone and Don Phillips in Bakersville for good quality well handled dry roots is up to 500.00 and the price for good quality fresh dug roots is 130.00

Nope, it's not all the way dryed up. Me and a buddy went saturday (24th) and found the MOTHER LOAD !!!!! Together we dug about 7.5lbs wet, he dug the biggest root i've EVER saw in my life, a true five prong about 8oz. I dug two true six prongs and a set of twins growing from the same root. I grew up hunting seng in wild and wonderful WV, but these mountians in burke county literaly out grow any i've been in.

I'd like to see pics of those, just reading the post gets me ready to go.

Does anyone have an update on prices here?

Metcalf's Ginseng was still paying $480 as of Monday. Think some other local fellers are paying $500
