TOPIC: Deer Hunting

deer hunting for the next few days ..got enough fish for now..had crappie for supper....

Got my 2011 buck today:woohoo: . Guess I'm done bowhunting for the year:( . I'll still get out for our firearms season and muzzleloader season, but have a few weeks before that. I'll try to thin some squirrels out and catch a few fish and catch up on some of my odd jobs around here in the next couple of weeks. Good luck to all you guys still out there looking for a good one:)

I'm very happy with him. That hunt really had my adrenaline flowing. After the shot he ran about 80 yards, but just out of sight in some thick brush. No crash, he just stopped running. About 2 minutes later I saw a buck walking down the hill in the same area and really started questioning what turned out to be a perfect shot. I stayed up in the tree for an hour before getting down. Picked up an encredible blood trail and followed straight to where he layed down and expired. Had to have been a different buck in that brush that I had seen. It still amazes me how I can hold it together until right after the shot when I was literally shaking LOL. Guess that's why I love it so much

That is the only buck you got but it seems to be the best one, nice start, em new to hunting, so i thought i could just get some of hunting tips from you experienced people.
