Chief, those are nice roots, they say the bulby roots are high quality. I went back today in those other hollers and dug 39.6 oz. Two more hollers to check out...hope they are good too.

Billy, thanks, its been pretty good so far.

Len I couldn't stand it..after I made that last post I looked at radar ,rain moving in..I lacked about 300 yards of having that woods looked when I left this afternoon..I decided to go back and finish it cause I didn't want to lose sleep tonight;) ..glad I did,,dug another 17 oz. and the biggest root that I found in that woods today.... ....rained on me and I got wet but it was worth it alot of those plants would have been gone by morning... ..this one weighed 2 oz.

Best I remember - last year when Chief said he was about done - he dug another 2-3 pounds...

Looks like he is repeating that this year :-)

Last time I looked this thread over I missed that near 5 oz root pic - WOW.

Never seen anything close to that here. I think around 2 oz is the best I ever found.

Way to go Chief !

Hope you just keep finding more.

I looked a nice hollow over here this morning and found not one single top still up.
