Two weeks ago I got 2 red berries, last weekend I got 3 red berries and this weekend...

19 red berries...

We have gotten a LOT of rain the past month and I think that is making for good berry production this year.

I went on and checked on several beds of my wild sim that is 4-5-6 years old and found several of them with red berries.

the Berry production on these younger plants is low... some only one or two berries, others 4-5... but with each year of age that will increase.

The 3 pronger blow is a 5 year old, and it is doing well.

This little 3 pronger here is in a location that gets a little more light than the others...

look at those big fat wide round tip leaves...

When they really like where they are growing (light wise) - the leaves look like that.

One more 3 pronger I planted a few berries off of...



check out the berry (stems)...

That one is a little odd, it has a berry stem going up to a small cluster of berries and then a second berry stem going over to one lone red berry.

Even while I was out checking my wild sim, it rained again on me a couple of times.

I put 60+ red berries in the ground yesterday off my 4-5-6 year old patches.

Over the next month I will check them about once a week and get as many of those planted as I can.
