TOPIC: What you got growing ?

Canned several pints and quarts of tomatoes...

These will make some great stew's, soups and chili all winter.

I also made a bunch of tomato soup and put that up...

Got out Saturday evening and checked out some of my ginseng...

Here is a pic of my seed producing bed. It was late in the evening and we had just got a good rain.

I had the flash turned on on my phone camera... and it made a cool looking pic of the bed from the top down.

Looks like a decent berry crop coming on...

Most of what I looked at had full green berries on, with some still just starting to develop.

I noticed one 3 prong a while back that looked to be making berries earlier than the rest and checked it out...

It had a couple red berries on it already.

I planted my first berries this Saturday... from this 5 year old wild sim plant.

Getting the itch to get out in the woods and dig a few... it won't be long now. Come on Sept 1.

Visited my seed bed again this evening... found 3 more red berries and planted them.

One came off this nice tall plant at the top of my bed...

Nice Long Berry stem (one of Billy Taylor's roots).

Got a couple more off a nice 4 prong on down the hill a bit.

Those red berries sure are pretty !

All of the hot dry weather we got mid July took it's toll on some of my younger weaker plants. Some are yellow and nearly down already. But others are looking good at this point. We have got some really good rains the past couple weeks. What made it thru the long hot dry spell, should do well now and it is looking like I am going to have a decent crop of berries this year.
