TOPIC: My 'sang is up....

This bed is 2/3's up the hill to the right. it's about 30'x5'. there are several 2nd years in it.

some 2nd year plants [with a whole bunch of 3-leafers that came us as a surprise] around them.

This a view of one of this year's 3-leafers. I pilled it up n one of the thickest emergances... must have been 8 of them right there. Note that the seed is still attached.

To put it in perspective, that's my hand holding the seedling. My palm is 3.75 \" across, and the stem/root is that long. The leafs are extending beyond my hand.

This 3-leafer is bigger than anything that came up last year. Not to sure why... could be a variety of reasons. This 3-leafer is of typical size from the emergant seedlings this year.

Another view of the same seedling, showing the attached seed better. the growth out of the seed was strongly attached still, That seed was not about to come off the rootstem yet!

Well, guys ... you have successfully wasted about 5 -10 minutes of your life just now, looking at my photos.... Thanks for looking!

You sure have carved out a nice planting site in that woods. Amazing hom much work you did to clear the underbrush. Proves where there's a will there's a way.

Whitjr, Did you transplant those seedlings you pulled? Nice looking beds.

kchacha- Nope, I only pulled one, there were two pictures of the same one. and then I ate it!
