Latt- thanks for the positive comments.
I'm heading back up to the mountains this weekend. Going to work in the patches and actually do a variety of \"chores\" that need doin' there.
Some of the rhododendron is attempting to come back, so it's machete time with them! I want to reduce the piles of cut lap some w/ c-saw. Going to take another batch of soil samples. Take more photos as well.
Then I'm going to spray a foliar application of my Nutri-grow solution. the stuff seems to really work on all kinds of plants. You should see my garden! Anyway, the maker claims that this stuff reduces the need for the sprays that combat detrimental micro-organisms. And, at the same time, improves the micro-nutrients found with the soil. This is supposed to affect the soil's pH as well, by moving the number towards a more median number. My patches soil pH could use a boost in places. this product is a seaweed deritive, thereby is organic!
Last, going to mark off the next acre to put in... and am planning on cutting this patch all in one day, with some college students I'm going to hire. It'll be lot of work, however worht it. I was holding off on this part until I saw if the ground I had already prepared was viable.
