TOPIC: NC High Country Seng 2015

Well things have finally slowed down enough I thought I would share a few pictures from hunts this year. Seems like life gets busier and busier all the time with kids and work etc., so I didn't get in the woods as much as usual and have barely been on here on the forum this year. Hope everyone had a good year, I had one of my worst years ever, partly due to not going as much, but mainly because of a severe drought throughout much of the summer and then we got around 15 inches of rain in a ten day span that finished off the seng that was left about 2 weeks earlier than normal. Now if I can remember how to post pictures again.

This was the first plant I found of the year and it was already almost gone due to I guess the drought, I knew that was a bad sign.

Decent root from that plant.

Big 4 prong

Big root from the previous plant, think it was a little over 2 ounces.

A few more good ones with that root.

Some good roots from a hunt, the 2 on the sides were both around 2 ounces.

This was the plant from the big root on the left side of the previous picture, this was early in the season and it was almost completely gone, its a wonder I found it.

Some nice roots.

Some very long hair roots out of some good soft black dirt.
