Thanks for the comments guys...

Here is the view in my master bedroom walk in closet :-)

Every time I go in there to get something to wear I get to admire the roots.

I have been drying my seng in there for many years now. We have a full size register in there so there is good air flow.

Dry it nice and slow - it always turns out real good.

And here is a pic of my patch of turnip greens... looking good.

I have turnips, collards, kale, spinach and beets growing in a fall bed now.

Nice roots TN. I hope everyone notices and follows your example of digging only the big ones. Congrats.

Did a short hunt this morning down a hollow close to home...

Found a few more. Nothing real big but a few of them had some good age on them.

All were 3 prongers and 3 of these has berries only and had the leaves browsed off but the berry stem and berries were left.

I see that a lot... seems like the deer really like the leaves but perhaps not so much the berries.

I found a few today that were yellow to brown and some that were down flat (after the rains we had this week).

It was nice and cool this morning, and the ground was very soft after the rains, that makes for easy digging.

A few more for the drying rack. I harvested a little yellow root today too for personal use.

Well I took the day off work today... was planning to hunt seng today, but with the price of seng being somewhat questionable this year I decided to go fishing instead.

Glad I did too... caught a NICE limit of bass on a small river in my County this morning.

Just had a great fish lunch too.

I weighed the two largest.

3 lbs 4 oz = the largest one a Smallie
2 lbs 10 oz = the next largest which was a large mouth.

It was 50 degrees this morning about daylight when I put my kayak in the river... but warmed up nicely after sun up.

Absolutely Beautiful Day !
