That is one hell of a root, the likes of which I have not seen since I was 17 years old! You can tell that it has had a very hard life. I know that with roots like it that have suffered damage many times but self-repaired, grown new main root stems and extra buds and tops, it would be hard to count the scars but it would be great to know an approximate age based on countable scars. Is that possible? Anyways, tell Mr. Beyfuss congrats on an awesome and sometimes, a once in a lifetime find!
