Amazing roots and tops. Noticed some MHF growing right there with it.

And they both did an excellent job of digging, got root hair and all.

That's amazing. That's the most unusual plant and root I have ever seen. Congrats. I'd say you could get some serious notoriety with that plant. Very Rare.

Don't suppose Bob thought to take a soil sample where those monsters were found ???

Us growers would love to know those test results.

Holy crap those are monsters. I'm not sure what I would do with those. One mind set says replant them in a seed patch and another says \"cha ching\". LOL!!

OMG!! I didn't know they ever grew that big. What state was this found in. CONGRATULATIONS! I've just set my sights higher.

Somewhere in NY I believe. Yea it is quite a root indeed everyone. I always dreamed of finding a root like this but have never even come close in over 35 years and it may never happen. It is good to see they exist tho. I think it is fitting that someone like Bob who has done so much for the study and preservation of ginseng was present when it was found. Still wish it would have been me tho. lol

That is one hell of a root, the likes of which I have not seen since I was 17 years old! You can tell that it has had a very hard life. I know that with roots like it that have suffered damage many times but self-repaired, grown new main root stems and extra buds and tops, it would be hard to count the scars but it would be great to know an approximate age based on countable scars. Is that possible? Anyways, tell Mr. Beyfuss congrats on an awesome and sometimes, a once in a lifetime find!
