TOPIC: TNhunter 2013 Season...

Got to go on a short hunt this morning...

Sometimes you hit it big and sometimes you walk your feet off and find just a few scraggley 3 prongers.

I was in the scraggley 3 pronger hollow today

I did manage to find enough to keep me eating fresh root a while and some that will be sold.

Took just a few pics although did not really find any seng that was all that picture worthy.

Found some that was yellowing already.

And here is I think the best find of the day..

Found a nice 9 pointer rack on the skull. No doubt someones big one that got away last fall.

Going to mount the skull and rack on my shed out back.

I would have been happy with the 9 pt great find

We had a lot that has wilted and was laying down. Even found a bunch of stems this weekend. Wasnt a bad one. We we're extremely selective and still dug just over 8 lbs of premium between two of us.

TN, even though you may not have found the mother load today, it still appears that you had a nice day and got to see some beautiful country. Congrats on that, buddy!

I found some that were yellow also. Seems a tad bit early for that.

Week of 100 degree heat really beat things up here last week.

Went on a long hunt today - went deep for this one and about walked my leggs off.

Got a total of 36.9 oz of root and so many nice 4 prongers that I lost count.

It was a good day, and a great way to spend my birthday (52 year old today).
