Hi Hunt,,,,June is probably the best month for fishing. If your brother lives up in Coon Rapids,,there should be plenty of lakes right in the area,,and LOTS of lakes to the north of there. And Duluth is a really cool place,,,neat old port city,,,and the gateway to the northshore and northern Minnesota. Really a beautifull area!! Nice bunch of sang ya got there!! What state are you in?

Hi again White Beard,,,you can type in \"wild rice in Minnesota\" and you should find lots of sites and info on wild rice harvest. I can't wait to learn how to harvest! Its hard to find the right equipment,,,lots of rules and regs to keep the harvest \" like they did it in the old days\" Its kinda sad,,as very few people do it anymore,,,a lost and dying tradition. I would love to meet an older harvester who would teach me how to harvest.

Northern,, I live in Indiana.Hope I get up to see Minn.I am glad to know Ginseng grows in lots of states.I guess a guy has to get into what he can in his area. The wild rice up there sounds very interesting.I need to dig information about what all I could find and sell around here.Stuff like certain tree barks and other types of roots and plants in woods here. I know they used to buy sumac bark.Maybe they still do,I need to find out.Maybe even sassafras root.Have to do a little information digging. What else do you have up that way?

Thanks for the info. Billy. If it gets up to $400.00 a lb. or above; I could afford the MacBook my son wants for Christmas.
