Will go and check my plants in VA soon. They have not been harvested ever as far as I know. How old ccan they get before the plant dies? They are undisturbed since we moved there-- 1954. As far as I know, not ever because further in the field, when plowed , we found delft china and old 16th and 17th century medicine bottles.
I am most fearful of theft as in VA that is a big problem-- people discovering your plants and destroying the area by digging everything up and stealing.
I want to know who to offer them to, I'll dig them and have them fresh to offer to sell right after digging them up and I want the best price, or I'll leave them where they are if the economy has affected ginseng prices, too. One more year wont hurt.
