Its getting tough for sure, 109 yesterday 106 today.....no rain for june.....i wanted to gather some goldenseal beries last week but they are already gone, i think eaten by turkeys...also notice that some of the goldenseal tops had been grazed by something, i think deer...i pulled a leaf off and chewed it up...just as bitter as the roots, whatever ate it must have really needed the moisture for sure...oh well, going to write this year off as a loss, turn my focus to something else for the rest of the year, no sense in dwelling on the bad.....hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July.
