I'm in Indiana just north of Louisville, Ky. Was up north of Terre Haute last year to hunt sang in a place called Westville. We didn't do so good up there, I think we had a bad spot.
Just judging by what I've already seen growing this year it's going to be pretty easy to come up with 10 dry pounds. I found a hillside with over 300 plants on it. Found another area where it's growing in big patches... I counted 32 three prongers in the largest patch.
I mark all the places with a handheld gps so I can go back and find it once the season opens. Southern Indiana is great for ginseng.
