called around to 3 dealers $145-160 per lb for fresh roots and %450-500 per lb for dry.
One dealer says he paid 230 a lb for some really old(30 yrs +) fresh roots.
I sold $1000 worth of fresh roots at $160 per lb to fund the purchase of 2 new firearms, the wife wouldn't \"let me buy\"

the rest is drying. I always figure on a 3.25/3.5:1 fresh:dry ratio. if you're selling dry roots this time of year, you really need to watch that ratio to make sure you aren't losing money! Then we blame the buyer for making too much, when it's your fault for not being diligent, educated and organized!
