TOPIC: 2011 OHIO STARTING PRICE

Anyone know what dealers will start out paying for good wild ginseng this year?

my guess starting out the price will be somewere between 325-350 for real good root.
Doesn't seem to be any shortage anywere that might hurt the harvest except maybe north carolina they might have had a little drought there not sure on that though...
I've been told that a couple of the bigger dealers got caught holding their root and the price dropped and they might still be holding.... time will tell... it's getting closer

If that's for 1lb dry, I think you would do better to keep it or get the paperwork to sell it on eBay.

I called Ohio River Ginseng today and they said they thought when they started buying dry seng on the 17th it would probably start out around 400
