Here in southern Indiana we have had a very long drought.I saw ginseng plants just die back in August. I hope the roots survived somehow.Anyone know how seng handles a bad drought? I can't remember it being this dry for so long here before.So dry I didn't even hit the woods to dig any roots this season! Better luck next year,hoping the wild seng hangs in there.
mature plants should be fine, but 1st or second year plants could be in trouble. It is possible that some of the older plants could be dormant next year, but they should be back.
