TOPIC: Root hairs

I dug a few of my three year old plants and noticed some of them had bumpy/nots/bulbs. Has anyone seen root hairs like this? Am I deficient on something?

I think you may be looking at root knot nematode...

I have heard of them from gardening... have seen them on my tomato plant roots in the past.

Was not sure if it was common on ginseng, but did a google search and found below...

Yes I have seen this and TN is correct. Better call a professional to get advice on how to kill them ASAP or plant somewhere else.
