TOPIC: First sprout of 2010

I have a few thousand seeds I didn't get planted because the weather got bad early. So I have them in the fridge and am going to try to get them in the ground very early spring. So a couple of weeks ago on my weekly moisture check I saw that one seed had put out about an half inch long root, so I stuck it in a cup of dirt and put it on top of the fridge (a little warmer there than most places). Here is a picture of how it is doing.

I was in my patch last week looking around and found a root about half the way out of the ground, I guess from freezing and thawing. I put it in a small pot in good woods dirt and brought it inside. Now im just waiting for it to sprout.

This plant just came up. It was a one prong plant last year so waiting to see what it looks like.I posted a pic of it here somewhere in the Forum last spring. Fun to keep an eye on one plant from year to year.

I found a few sprouts yesterday in Central Kentucky.
