TOPIC: Business Plans, updated...

It's almost Feb 2014. wow, seems like Christmas was just yesterday.

Also, it's time here for a business plan revision. Time to look over last years, see if my goals were mat, and note the ones that have possibly not been met.

Also, time to look inot '14 and see what new goals I want to set forward.

I think this year, that I am going to make some real progress toward handling poachers. Decide on a definitve policy, and plans if poaching should occur, getting some equipment, and figuring out in which hollow where to bury the poachers ... [JK, wouldn't do that]...

Good luck with the updating of your business plans, planting and dealing with poachers! By the way, the latter make good fertilizer. (JK also) LOL!!

whitjr, I have some pretty good ideas to stop..or at least slow down poachers, but most are considered to be illegal. I don't care. I have made it well known that someone will get hurt if they get into my patch.

'Course ther are several other aspects to doing a business plan for the year. It's important to me to review what the reality test did to the plans for 2013.

I hastily began my journey into ginseng this past fall. I have learned a lot from you guys since. For the past 2 months I have been planning for 2014. The reality test you speak of is what worries me the most. Reality can deal a well made plan a fatal blow, much more to a hasty one like mine. But at least if it fails I will know what not to do this years planting season.

Redbeard- our fist year was not nice to us... Very poor emergence, mucho mucho work, with disappointing [to say the least] results.

If you should have some dismal reality test results, just hang in there, learn from your results, and persevere.

I'm about wade into the box full of receipts in preparation for tax return time. I'd rather be chased around by a bear than sit down and do the stuff for this. Well, maybe a little bear.....
