Yes it was Hill...
My birthday is Sept 3rd... and my company gives us our birthday off work.
That was in 2010 and on my 49'th birthday that I found that spot on that bluff where all of those big bueaties were growing.
The thing that stood out about them was the tops were all big and stout with fat round ended leaves (really healthy looking) and the roots were short and extremely fat (bulby roots) and most were over 1 oz.. up to 1.8 oz... and they only have like 5-8 flats on the root neck.
They were not old at all based on the root neck flat counts, but in a short amount of time had matured nicely into basically ideal seng roots.
PS - That bluff faces almost due east, so in the morning hours they were getting lots of sunshine, but then after about noon, nothing but indirect light the rest of the day. If seng is going to get a lot of sun, then that would be they way to do it, morning sun. Good Light but without the heat of the evening sun.
It was definately working for those plants.
