TOPIC: Is morel hunting damaging to simulated seng beds?

Is morel hunting damaging to simulated seng beds? 11 years 8 months ago #22218

Was wondering if walking on my simulated seng beds while morel hunting would permanently damage pre-emerging, and emerging plants

One Sly Savage,
I'm personally not a big mushroom hunter, but I can't think of many things that could be more damaging to your Wild Simulated beds than walking on them right now. This is one of the reasons that walkways are usually added between beds. If they are prepared beds you can also get squash down and that causes water to settle in low spots made from walking across a bed. You might look around the edges, but stay out of the main beds.

That's what I was figuring I have walk ways and more or less planted in rows...the morels won't be out for a couple weeks here... Hoping the seng will be emerging by the time I start looking so they will be easier to miss...thanks
