TOPIC: Every once in awhile

something goes right and you see why the work is worthwhile. Ok so maybe that is not the norm but,just sometimes. These are some photos of plants that are on their second year. Notice the seeds. I was so not expecting to see seeds, I haven't been watching for them and was really pleasantly surprised to find these. The plants are not very big but....

that is weird though diesel berries on a two year old. Though i have seen berries on two prongs. But i dont believe they were two year old.

The funny thing is , this is not the ideal spot for sang. It is close to the house so I can keep tabs on things but, it faces South, with mostly Ash Maple and a couple cherry for cover. The soil is anything but good forest soil. Maybe just a fluke. It was a nice surprise to see.
