I was finally able to plant some seeds in the woods after they sprouted. kind of late but better than never.
Here is a plant that grows at the moist loamy soil near my patch. The weather still gyrates between frost and snow, but this thing grows like crazy already and the flower bud is ready.

That sure looks like our May Apple. They have bloomed here and are beginning to wilt a little in some places. There are large patches of them on my wood lots. They are pretty prolific.

Grows in large patches around here - they come up very early (End of March, first of April) here in Middle TN, and die off later in the spring, early summer.
Here is a pic of one of my wild simulated beds from last spring that has some may apple growing in with the seng. That pic was made on 4/28.
