TOPIC: Weekend work in your patch?

I usually don't see anything emerging until middle of April and if it's a late cold spring maybe the first of May. Trillium,goldenseal and other companion plants are first to come up.

My backyard patch is well, in my backyard near Greensboro NC. The one 3-leafer that was up, I covered yesterday from the bitter cold night we had... didn't want to lose that little guy. I'll uncover it tomorrow, as we are expecting another cold night tonight.

Got to 23 degrees F here last night.

I figured that the pound of rootlets i put in back there would be up by now, since our weather here in piedmont NC is a bit warmer that the mountains, however nothing up yet.
