I went to one of Scott Persons lectures and asked him about the cracked seed. He said the same as tnhuter, it won't hurt them at all. Just my 2 cents worth.

Thanks, I wasn't sure about that. I dug some ginseng on a members land from our church and all the berries had been ate or somethin happened to them so I was gonna buy some seed and plant them there this weekend and wanted to treat them.
