There are a number of problems with this approach. Probally a legnthy discussion here on this forum could ensue as to method. Also, I can see some of the discussion would center around the distintions this method has against the conventional wisdom accepted on this forum.
Another problem is: what sort of facility is needed for successful completion [in this manner] of growing our favorite crop? Sounds like the researcher had huge refridges, as well as a theromatically controlled greenhouse. I can't keep mine that cool a'tall, during the growing seasons.
All that having been said, it would be nice to produce wild-grown quality in an hydroponic manner with a saleable product in only two years!
I think I'll attempt to find the actual research that Mr Li generated... it would be interesting to read... abeit very scientific. Perhaps it would shed light on his equipment utilized as well.
