When I was out in Iowa a week ago, for a family funeral, one of the distant cousins and I got started on a conversation about micronutrients. Like Sulphur, and calcium, and boron, and stuff like that. This distant cousin [by marriage] of mine was quite knowledgable about this, and I found the conversation quite stimulating... and a great distraction from the rest of the conversations going on.
And, of course, I brought up my ginseng project!
I told him about the soil anaylses. He suggusted that I invest in a product called \"Agri-gro\" which as I understand it addresses most of the problems I have as identified in my numerous soil analysis.
Some other suggustions were made my this guy, who incidentily has several hundred acres of traditional crops actively farmed in Iowa.
I seem to remember someone posting last fall about Agri-Gro, and am wondering if anyone here has used this?
It's expensive... and appears to be only sold in 5 gal quantities... however is used in small amounts as it goes very far. I guess that someone like my distant sousin who has many many acres would purchase the larger amounts, however I am reluctant to buy such a lartge amount given the smaller scope of my efforts thus far.
Any ideas?
