I'm paying $525/lb for good quality dried Ohio wild ginseng. Can do a little better for excellent quality well handled roots.

The Ohio market seems to have settled in. I'm still starting around $525 and going up from there on better lots of ginseng. How high depends on quality, not quantity. I am particularly interested in the type of root that comes from the southeastern part of the state, and will travel to pick up root in reasonable quantity.

this is the Ohio child-board It would be a crime to take our Ohio ginseng to Kentucky to sell (unless you went and had it certified, the cost/travel of doing which would pretty much cancel out the few extra bucks) but the Kentucky board would be a great place for this also, any updates for Ohio, guys?

Leighton, I'm at $580/lb but as always will pay more for well dug, well handled roots.

I appreciate it 5 prong I'd say I'm going to break the pound mark, I have 13 ounces dry and still a pile of nice ones only a couple of days out. It frosted real hard today and there are virtually no leaves left on the trees here Last weekend I went out and found 1 plant in 13 hours of climbing the hollows, so I'm thinking it's over for me. It kills me the season was so short this year, but I'm thankful to have any at all, due in large part to my dad drawing me rudimentary maps on the magic erase board of where I might find some
