TOPIC: Wild hydrangea

Have any of you ever dug any wild hydrangea and if so what was the price you received for the roots and how hard was it to make any money off of it. Do you know of any dealers who will buy it.

What state are you in? In Illinois, there is a guy who will pay about 7.50 a pound.

$7.50 a pound for wild Hydrangea?

I've never bothered to dig any before but I probably would at that price. My ginseng dealer (in Kentucky) last fall was paying $2 a pound for it and said they only paid 50 to 75 cents a pound for it most years.

Where at in Illinois is this? Are there any laws regulating hydrangea as far as taking it out of state?

I am located in Tennessee, and $7.50 a LB sounds real good I hope I can get that for it here.
