Hey there WildGrown.
I'm 17 and i live in middle tennessee, i just recently rediscovered the joy of digging ginseng. I used to dig with my dad when i was younger, but that's been 7 years or so.
But we have some land up on the mountain, I went walking back in there yesterday and i found quite a few 3-4 prongs down in a gully. And it reminded me that the season was here.
No one my age here even knows ginseng grows in our woods. But I am really interested in getting back into this hobby.
I plan to hopefully plant some seeds back in the holler this season, and try to get some of the plants replenished for future seasons.
I used to dig when i was a kid, but i definitely don't know all there is to know. If there are any specific tips for the middle tennessee area, i'd be interested to hear them.
Other than that, i've already learned a lot on here just skimming around.
