TOPIC: Growing goldenseal from seed?

I have access/ permission later this summer to harvest goldenseal seeds for planting. I’m not permitted to harvest rhizomes or roots just the seed. Any tips for the best success rates? Should I stratify first? Plant immediately? What success rate should I expect? Should I fertilize...etc

Wish I could help you, I've been wanting to do Goldenseal for a long time but the seeds are so hard to find, good luck with it.

Yea, I’ve been reading about it on line...some say clean the seeds and plant immediately, other sites say stratify over one winter and plant in the spring...I’ll probably try both ways unless some one on here has had moderate success one way or another.

Never had any luck with seed. If you want goldenseal easiest way to get started is to transplant several mature plants to your woods. More work planting than using seeds but it will spread quickly.
