Hey fellas, I was wondering how long before planting your seed do you clear off the spot? Right before you sow it or months before? And is one way better than the other? Thanks
I know a grower that clears his planting beds in the fall and then plants seed. Then in the spring he sprays the weeds before the ginseng sprouts. He uses roundup. I guess you got to know to spray in the spring a week before the seng comes up so ya don't kill em. lol

Lol yeah. I'd rather not kill em so I will have to make sure I know what I'm doing with the weed killer. I probably need to be concentrating on the seng patches i have growing now. They could sure use some TLC. Lol I still can't believe how much is there after all these years. Some places need thinned out and transplanted I think. Other spots have a lot of other plants growing that are competing with the seng. I'm not sure how much of that kind of stuff needs removed though.
