Went and crawled around on the hill out back and found this not sure if it's ginseng but it looks very much like it if it's not. And has some very small green berries on it.

That is a nice 3 prong Ginseng...

Often where you find one on a hillside like that, you may find others up or down the hill from it.

Also that is the best sign of all that you have some location where you could grow some ginseng. You might try your hand at planting some stratified seed this fall.

I've decided to go with a few rootlets and seeds Going to try just a few rootlets and seeds in different areas where I'm fairly sure there isn't any growing. And some seeds in the area where I've found ginseng.

Now if I can just find that one again.
