TOPIC: help ID ginseng

help ID ginseng 8 years 7 months ago #36612

Hello all,

I prepared a bed in my timber and planted stratified seeds several years ago and just let them go.
Yesterday I saw some red berries down the hill so I thought I'd check them out.
I found 2 stands of berries that look like the attached pic. One stand has a light and delicate yellow 3 leaf plant attached and is folded over the weeds next to it.

The other is pictured. I didn't look too long as I was in the middle of stacking firewood before the rain.

I believe the berries do look like ginseng but would love to have some additional opinions since I don't recognize any of the leaves around it as ginseng???

thanks for your help.

I agree with Jack-in-the-Pulpit. I see berries but they don't look like gensing berries. I don't see any stem or leaves of a gensing plant either.
