TOPIC: Hello from a newbie land/forest owner.

Hi Everybody,

I am John, we just bought a new forest (about 80 acres) in upstate NY and we are roaming the land. We were looking for NTFP in the hope to grow the existing resources.

We were hopeful to find a couple of plants and mushrooms and I wanted the expert eyes to let us know if those were the real deal:

1) Ginseng: On the property we have a lot of maple trees and we spotted what looks like Ginseng but we are not sure if it is the real deal...So many look alike.

2) Reishi: The property is having a lot of very old stumps from previous ages and we might have some Reishi.

3) Golden Chanterelles: Look like there were a couple even though they were all dried up because of the season.

If anybody as some insights or advice on how to steward those in the right direction (if they are really what we think they are) it will be greatly appreciated.

That's awesome man. I've been to Upstate NY area when I went to the Adirondacks. Awesome place. Would love to hear how it goes for you
