TOPIC: Smoky Mountain Money S1E1 price question

So I happened to catch a rerun of Smokey Mountain Money tonight and I noticed something. These two guys were hunting and one guy called in to his local dealer for a price he could get at the start of seng season; He said $200/lb. Isn't that extremely low? I would think it would be at least $400. This is in 2014. Maybe it's because of the location, but I just didn't expect that.

Oh, btw, the yellow jacket scene (EDIT: make that scenes) in this episode about killed me. I already have a huge fear of those things, but this just made it worse... Ugh.

Since you cant sell dry at the begining of the season I would assume it's $200 green, which would translate to about $700 dry. That would be an average to above average opening price.

Oh, ok. So they just sell them the ginseng right after they dig it without drying it.
