TOPIC: Keeping Deer out of Ginseng

With berry season slowly approaching I am trying to concentrate on how I can keep deer out of my ginseng. Has anybody had any luck on keeping deer out? If so how?

I always used a battery charged electric fence with pretty good results. But, its the other critters that will eat most of them.

What critters have you had the most trouble with?

Chipmunks, turkeys, assorted mice and birds and such. Everything seems to like ginseng berries.

Thanks. Seems like Ill need to be quick to get the berries.

I have not tried this myself, however have recently spoken with our local Ag guys... they say \"Miller's Hot Sauce\" when sprayed on the plants does the trick.
