Lar: I know the 2nd pic is Christmas Fern by the brown fuzzy stems. They would have been curled as they came out in spring. The 1st pic they are too far in the pic to see clear but look a lot like the Christmas Fern in younger stages of life, and havn't grown into clumps yet. I will attempt to attach a pic I got off internet (barely sprouting this far north for a good \"real\" pic) of Rattlesnake fern. It is always a single plant (not clumped) and will lean on it's side come seng season. Old timers always said the seng is the direction it leans but I myself feel it just tells one it's good soil and conditions for seng.
