TOPIC: Securing your simulated wild patch

What techniques are there to secure your remote patch of ginseng.
So a suburban city guy like me...who buys some country land....how can I best secure it when I can't be there?
I'm thinking electronics here? A fence or double fence does not really work and they are expensvie.

Short of land mines....what you you thing would work?

Take some time off and keep it under surveilance. If you have enough of it, you can make a living at it, so build a small cabin and stay there.
