TOPIC: Where do you get 22 long rifle and other Ammo needed now days ?

Re:Where do you get 22 long rifle and other Ammo needed now days ? 11 years 2 months ago #24498

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

LJ125 - really appreciate the offer friend. Very generous of you !

I do have plenty of 12 ga, .410 ga, some 20 ga, a couple boxes of 22 mag, and a box of .308.

The 22 pistol is mostly for play - my boy loves shooting it.

Looks like about all of these online sources are out of my first choice the CCI, but they do have some other brands available (most I have never heard of). I usually stick with CCI, Remington, Windhester and have shot some Federal Premium.

I may have to try one of these off brands if I can find one in a high velosity 22 LR.

Hey all..

I checked back at Cabela's this evening and under ammo - rim-fire - they had some Winchester Super X 22 LR, 40 gr, box of 100.

It showed 1280 fps. Those may work Ok in my pistol.

I ordered a box.

You could only order 1 box, per customer, per day. So I guess I could order anotehr tomorrow if they still have them in stock.

Price was 8.49 and then 5.95 shipping for a total cost 14.44

At least I got some on the way now.

When I checked Cabelas this morning they did not have these listed.

So I guess with these online places, you need to check back often - as they are getting them in the are making them available.

You are correct in the checking frequently dept.

I ordered a whole group of ammo when it became clear that the gun industry was going ballistic after the Newtown shootings. I got everything I needed for my weapon's calibers for the forseeable future at that time; and I'm glad I did. [.303; .30; 8mm; .32 acp; .45 acp; .243...] Took me a long time to get the \"store \" of ammo in of .243, in my desired grains [100 gr].

I found out that Dick's Sporting Goods store - the national chain- seems to get it's ammo shipment in on Friday's. Well, at least at my closest location. maybe it would be helpful if you found out from the guys at the firearms area in your Dick's Sporting Goods store when they get their ammo order in.
